Connecting GP3000 with Omron PLCs C/V Series

To connect the Digital Proface GP3000 with Omron PLCs C/CV series, required setting of communication parameter between them. Two kinds of software needed to perform these setting.

1. Omron CX Programmer, to set the PLC communication parameter.
2. GP-Pro EX, to set GP3000 series communication parameter.

PLC type to be used as an example is the Omron C200HG. Communication will be done via the RS232C port on the CPU unit.

Communication Cable:

There are two kinds of cable used for communication between Omron C200HG and GP3000, buy ready-made cable, or create your own.

• Omron Sysmac Link cable, CA3-CBLSYS-01 by Proface.

Setting of GP3000 Communication Parameter:
By using GP-Pro EX software, do setup as shown below picture.

Setting of PLC Communication Parameter:
By using Omron CX Programmer, do setup of to Custom.
Baud : 19200  
Format: 72E
Mode : Host Link

After setup of the GP3000 and the PLC, do testing by connecting the GP3000 and PLC.
